Founding Attorney D. Scott Monroe has received an AV Preeminent® Rating by Martindale-Hubbell®. It is the highest peer rating standard allowable by this organization, and is only granted to attorneys who exhibit “the highest level of professional excellence.”

Super Lawyers® Rising Stars℠ 
Super Lawyers® Rising Stars℠ sent a membership invite to Attorney D. Scott Monroe in 2021, 2022, and 2023. This membership is offered only to outstanding attorneys who are either under the age of 40 or who have less than 10 years of total practice experience. As a result, fewer than 5% of all practicing attorneys earn this distinction each year.

American Institute of Legal Professionals 
In 2025, the American Institute of Legal Professionals granted Monroe Law, P.A. its “Law Firm of the Year” award. This invitation-only organization rates, recognizes, and promotes trial attorneys and law firms that focus on difficult cases that go to trial, like high-stakes criminal defense trials. Membership is known to be highly selective and uses peer nominations and third-party research.

Attorney and Practice Magazine 
Attorney D. Scott Monroe was recognized not once but twice in 2025 by Attorney and Practice Magazine, earning the “Raising the Bar Top 10 – DUI Defense Attorney” award and the “Top 10 – Criminal Defense Attorney” award. The publication is the first choice of many professionals nationwide who want to stay informed of outstanding lawyers, legal trends, developing laws, and more.

American Institute of Trial Lawyers 
Monroe Law, P.A. earned the “Best Law Firm 2024” award from the American Institute of Trial Lawyers. The invitation-only group recognizes trial attorneys and law firms that demonstrate excellence in trial advocacy, professionalism, and ethical conduct. Consistently positive trial results are also highly valuable during the selection process.

Acquisition International – Leading Adviser Awards 
Attorney D. Scott Monroe was selected for the “Leading Criminal Defense Attorney of the Year” in Florida (2019) by the Acquisition International Leading Adviser Awards. Acquisition International reviews, rates, and highlights professionals from many industries who are known for guiding people with genuine advice, insight, and services, including trial attorneys who stand up for the rights of the criminally charged.

Premier Lawyers of America 
In 2019, Attorney D. Scott Monroe was selected for three awards by Premier Lawyers of America: Top 1% DUI/DWI Defense, Top 1% Criminal Defense, and Top 1% Drug Trafficking Defense. Earning a single “Top 1%” award from the Premier Lawyers of America is rare, but earning three in one selection year is practically unheard of.
